Top Chef Carrie Baird Strikes again with this outstanding Brunch/Lunch spot in LoHi that is perfect for any daytime occasion. Killer food at the right price to snag Breakfast in Denver

The Restaurant

This is a busy spot on a Friday. The patio was packed and they had a short wait for a table around 11am. But they have about 12 bar seats inside and out that you can snag if you're lucky. I love the energy and vibe that #FoxandtheHen is giving. My favorite touch is their "hot sauce wall" where you can go and select from any of their unique and mostly local, Colorado hot sauces to sample and even purchase if you like for $10.

The Food and Drink

Chef Carrie has created a masterpiece of a brunch spot here - With a simple, yet elegant menu that allows you to really create your own experience in all the best ways. They separate "Toasts" like the Green Peas and Ham Benedict (above on the right) or BLT that we had and entrees like her Bobby Flavos that was created for Beat Bobby Flay - even with an appetizer section to get you started with small bites. The Food was fantastic, fresh, flavorful and has me looking to come back soon!

They focus on local, in season ingredients and you are also given the choice to add your own sides to your dish like potatoes, bacon and eggs to create your own experience. I loved the fact that we were able to eat our Toasts and then leave feeling full, yet not stuffed- This also seemed to help keep the prices reasonable and allows for flexibility, which is fantastic!

Fox and the Hen has plenty of adult beverages to go along with the usual suspects for breakfast and coffees with some fun modern espresso drinks pumping out of a large machine. I highly recommend the iced oatmilk cubano coffee or the Instant Mushies. We had Carrie's favorite, the "Spaghett" which is essentially an Aperol Spritz but with a Miller high Life, and man- that thing drank smooth on a hot day.

This joint gets a MileHighDish recommendation for small group get togethers and an expansive patio on days that allow it! You can add yourself to the waitlist on their website or order online to go! I can't wait to go back! Great job of service by the friendly staff too!
