From house smoked salmon, potato latkes, omlettes, blintzes and Matzo Brei for breakfast to Hot Pastrami, stuffed tomatoes, burgers cobb salads or Matzo ball soup for lunch - you will have no problem quenching your classic deli needs. They have even modernized the deli concept by adding Avocado toast, challah french toast, Pastrami Knishes and one of the best Breakfast sandwiches you can get in Denver.
Zaidy's Matzo ball soup, Hot Pastrami sandwich and Potato Latkes
I went in for lunch about a month after they had opened to finally check out the place and was more impressed than I had expected to be. We shared a hot pastrami sandwich on challah with none other than Golden's spicy mustard- The pastrami was delicate and thinly sliced and importantly, easy to eat. Next was quite possibly the best Matzo ball soup I have ever had in a restaurant - those balls are outstanding! And finally we had to get a side of potato latkes and I have to say, these were better than any other deli I had been to in Chicago and New York. With homemade strawberry applesauce, we were fighting for the last bite.
A nice touch to this is a full bar in the back of the restaurant to offer counter seating and cocktails if you want to show your bubbie or friends a good time. There cocktail menu offers bloodies, mimosas and your standard cocktails as well as local beer options and of course all your non-alcoholic favorites you would expect at a deli

Whether you are picking up from the deli counter or coming in to grab a bite, the staff at Zaidy's welcome you in like they are having you at their home. The host stand is accommodating and service is fast. They have a wait every day of the week and are on top of turning tables and getting patiently waiting guests out of the door. That day we informed the host stand that we only had about 45 minutes to eat and run back for work and our food came out in around 7 minutes! Our server was on top of it and so friendly in the process and made sure we were not late at all.
Our second visit to Zaidy's just weeks after our first was an online order - which was ready at the host stand the second I got there and the staff was great about helping me add a Challah and order of Matzo Ball soup from the deli counter as well. It was easy to choose from Bagels, Lox, salmon cream cheese with chives and capers, deli items like sliced turkey, corned beef or pastrami on their online ordering system if you're in a hurry or just planning a casual pick up to bring home.

I don't know if I am cynical or just come to expect slow, tired service at a Jewish deli, but this service team really turns around that stereotype. You will be happy you came, waited and enjoyed feeling like your at Grandma's house!

@zaidysdeliandbakery boasts a large room lined with booths and bright lights - They even have an original neon sign from Zaidy's OG location in Cherry Creek with a modern accent wall to round out the modern deli feel. The place is sleek enough, yet ties in the classic deli feel to not over-modernize it and please the Zaidy's loyal customer base of south Denver. It's a nice balance of new and old and you can tell that their intent was to create a warm environment to welcome their guests.
